Safari at Serengeti, Tanzania

HOME OF THE GREAT MIGRATION AND BIG FIVE

WHERE THE WILD COMES ALIVE

Serengeti National Park is a crown jewel of African wildlife — spanning approximately 14,763 km² of rugged savannah and woodland in northern Tanzania. Established in 1951, it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981, recognized for its extraordinary biodiversity and the flawless cycle of the Great Wildebeest Migration.

THE GREAT WILDEBEEST MIGRATION

Each year, over 1.5 million wildebeests, along with zebras and gazelles, journey across the Serengeti–Masai Mara ecosystem in search of fresh grazing — creating one of Earth’s most awe-inspiring natural spectacles.

WILDLIFE IN UNMATCHED ABUNDANCE

Home to the Big Five — lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinoceroses — Serengeti also supports a vast array of predators and prey. Approximately 3,000 lions roam its plains, along with cheetahs, hyenas, and over 350 bird species.

LANDSCAPE & ECOSYSTEM DIVERSITY

From rolling grasslands and dramatic kopjes (granite outcrops) to winding rivers and acacia forests, the Serengeti’s varied terrain supports its thriving wildlife and plays a central role in ecological cycles.

CONSERVATION & HERITAGE

As a designated World Heritage Site, the park plays a critical role in conservation, anti-poaching efforts, and ecological research-efforts that help preserve this pristine wilderness for future generations.

MIGRATION

Serengeti National Park is a World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife: over 2 million ungulates, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopard, 550 cheetahs and 500 bird species
inhabit an area close to 15,000 Km2 in size. Join us on a safari and explore the endless Serengeti plains.

Embark on thrilling game drives across the legendary Serengeti — one of the most iconic safari destinations in the world. Traverse vast golden plains, acacia-dotted savannahs, and riverine woodlands in search of Africa’s most majestic wildlife.

Whether it’s your first safari or your tenth, Serengeti delivers unforgettable encounters:

JUNE – OCTOBER

This season is characterized by sunny, dry weather. It’s the warmest time, with daytime temperatures reaching up to 30°C (86°F), but mornings and evenings are cooler. This is also the peak safari season, as the animals gather around water sources and are easier to spot.

MARCH – MAY

This is the wettest period, with frequent rains and cooler temperatures. It can be cloudy and damp, especially in the late afternoon, and the landscape becomes lush and green.

NOVEMBER – DECEMBER

The short rainy season brings sporadic showers and moderate temperatures. These rains are less intense than the main rainy season, but they still cause the landscape to become greener.
